OBITUARY:  Clora C. Johnson

         Visitation for Clora C. Johnson, 81, of Las Cruces will be Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Getz Funeral Home followed by prayer sevice at 7 p.m.  Graveside service will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Monte Vista Cemetery in Alamogordo.  Johnson died Monday at Las Cruces Nursing Center.
           Survivors include son, Malry Johnson. Jr. of Las Cruces; daughters Malene Swenson and Sharron Harvey, all of Las Cruces, and Jeanie Jones of Grand Junction, Colo.; sister, Elna Weems of Hermiston, Ore.; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

OBITUARY

            William Dale Pawley, beloved son of Ada Sharron Harvey and Tom Pawley, passed away of natural causes on Wednesday, May 28, 2014.  Dale was born September 20, 1972 at Flagstaff, Arizona. 
            He is survived by his grandfather and grandmother, Malry and Geraldine Johnson, his father, Tom Pawley (Mary) of Washington state, his half-brother Scott from California, his sister Colleen from Timberon, his brother Jonathan from Cloudcroft, his dear friend Rose Wiseman, his step-father Bob Harvey of Las Cruces, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
            From a very early age Dale exhibited a rare talent for musical theater.  After graduation from high school, he attended Highland University at Las Vegas, NM with a major in live theater and direction.  While there he performed and participated in several plays.
            Dale's involvement with his second family, the Las Cruces theater community, began in 1996 when he starred as The Baker in the play Into the Woods at LCCT.  In 1997 he acted and sang in the musical Bells Are Ringing, his first collaboration with Janet Mazdra.  In 1998 he started his Las Cruces directing career with Crimes of the Heart. 
            Since then, Dale had directed 15 shows at Las Cruces Community Theater and six shows at the Black Box, including Deathtrap, Little Shop of Horrors (Janet Mazdra and Patrick Payne), The Miracle Worker (Margie Brouhard and Patrick Payne), Hello, Dolly! (Janet Mazdra Margie Brouhard, Tom Warren, and Karen Warren), Godspell, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Nuncrackers: The Christmas Musical.
            Dale's participation with the Las Cruces theater community and the friendship of various actors, directors, choreographers, etc. was the high point of his life.  He was never happier than when he was sitting in the second row, middle section, telling everyone on stage what to do.
            A memorial service will be held to honor Dale on Wednesday, June 11 from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Las Cruces Community Theater.
            The family has asked that, in lieu of flowers, friends would consider a donation to the theater community.  Dale's kindness, gentleness, and prodigious talent will be greatly missed.  His passing has left a void in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him.
            "Oh, death, where is thy sting?  Oh, grave, where is thy victory?"
            "Good night, sweet prince, and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest!"

McGinn born in Virginia in 1855. His death certificate says he was a stone mason. His father was John Henry McGinn born in Ireland about 1821 and married to a Charlotte Hull born in England. We know that John was a teacher. We do not yet know who his parents were.
