The updating of the numbering system used on this page has been completed. Generation 28 is my own;
27 is that of my parents; 29 is that of my children, etc.  --   John M. Gwin, May 2009

The reformatting of the name font and census data for this page has been completed. --John M. Gwin, Feb 2012

SOURCES:
1.  My daughter's mother-in-law, Millie Crawford Johnson, gave me much of this information herself.
2.  From there, I used Ancestry.com to track some of these families through the various U. S. censuses.
3.  Today, 5 October 2008, Iris (Mrs. Tom) Crawford contacted me with access to their page (located at http://mysite.verizon.net/res7zoj4/id3.html), from which I gleaned the information shown below in this light blue color.
4.  In 2013, I began using Findagrave.com to locate the final resting places of some of these family members.
5.  In 2022, I condensed the page considerably by placing only one yellow table at the top of the page with Malry's and Millie's descendants, replacing all the others with small tables referring readers to that one at the top.

We were fairly confident that one of these in the 1870 and 80 censuses--Moses Scott or J. W.--was the father of our Andrew. But now we're not so sure, as neither of the POB patterns match.

Ancestry.com has transcribed this as I. W., but when I compared it to the writer's J's in John, Jane, etc., it was a perfect match. Nevertheless, I didn't have any capital I's with which to compare it, so until we know for sure, we'll go with I.

This is clearly our Andrew. But he has the POB pattern of PA/PA/PA; therefore, I believe that NEITHER of the above two Andrew S. Crawfords (i.e., in 1870 and 1880) is he, since one has the pattern PA/PA/Ireland and the other PA/PA/OH.
