Keeney
27 Dec 1953 -- 9
Dec 2012
Martha Ann Keeney,
58 of Chagrin Falls, after a courageous
and inspiring battle with cancer entered
into eternal peace this week.
For more than 20 years,
Martha was a beloved educator and
administrator in the Solon School
district. Born December 27, 1953 in
Solon, OH, Martha is the daughter of
Clarence (deceased) and Blanche Kopacz and
sister to John Kopacz (deceased).
Martha is survived by
her loving family: husband of 36 years, Stan
Keeney; children, Brian (Megan)
Keeney and Mary Beth (Chad)
Gunerra; and her grandchildren, Brian
Keeney, Jr. and C. J. Gunerra.
Martha taught us all
how to stay positive when faced with
adversity, how to forge ahead when times
are tough, how to make life about quality
especially when the quantity is cut short,
how to keep things in perspective and have
fun along the way. Most importantly
she taught us how to love
unconditionally. We are all better
people, parents, and educators for having
known Martha.
In lieu of flowers, the
family suggests memorial contributions to
be made to the MAK Foundation, established
to honor Martha. This foundation
will sponsor children in need towards
developing their musical talents.
Checks can be made out to MAK Foundation
and mailed to 7475 Edwards Landing,
Chagrin Falls OH 44023. Calling
hours are scheduled for Thursday, December
13, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00
