No kidding--her age is listed as 21, and she's been md. 10

If this is true, do the math to see her age at her
marriage.
However, it does conflict with the 1900 census, which
means this
enumerator most likely made an error. |

[JMG Note: In my analysis of the above census data, D. T. Guinn and his brother, John W. Guinn, were b. in SC to Nancey Guinn, when Nancey was 15 and 25 years old, respectively. Between 1846 and 1853, all had moved to GA where Florentine and all three of D. T.'s kids were born. By 1855, J. W. (and probably all) had moved to Lampasas. I did a search of everyone with the given name "Florentine" in Lampasas Co., TX. in 1870, and only Mrs. Nichols was found, she also being the right age and POB to be J. W.'s Florentine; further, she is living next door to her mother Mary and sister Nannie Anderson (with the later of whom Nancy Guinn--spelled here Guin--is now living), so I'm certain this is she. By 1880, Jacob Nichols has died.] |

sister,
but they don't know much about any names. Daddy thinks his
grandmother's name was Lena. Is there any chance that you
might
know about this John Guinn? I'm not sure where to

1. No, I've not run into either this John Guinn or his son
John
Ray yet, but that doesn't mean we're not related.
3. ............I did a search of it for Bartlett and got 46 matches but haven't looked at any of them yet.
4. ............Then I jumped to the Bell County Forum (still in Genforum) and looked--here's an interesting item I found there when I searched for "Bartlett":
William J. King 1860-1941 Bartlett Cem.

I am seeking any info on the family of William J. King and his wife Narcissis who are buried in the Bartlett Cemetery. I understandthat Bartlett is in Bell Co., but the cemetery is just across the county line in Williamson Co. I think William might be the son of my great grandfather John Wesley King, who lived in the Florence area in the 1850's.
6. Next I went to GOOGLE.com and searched for ["bell county" texas guinn] and found the following two entries--Henry could be a cousin or a brother:

Here is Ancestry.com's summary of a John R. Gwenn's family in the 1880 census of Lampasas, Texas. Whether this is our John Ray Guinn or not is anybody's guess right now, but if it is he, then his dad must've died and his mom remarried Mr. Brown. This could be why Vena didn't know his mother's name when she was answering questions for his death certificate. I've looked for them without success in 1870. |
